I am very proud to be the Principal of Cambridge English School.

 

As you explore our website, I hope that you can gain a flavour of what makes our school and the way we educate children so special.
Our school in Mangaf delivers a traditional British education and an outstanding choice to informed parents seeking an education focused on pastoral care and academic excellence. Cambridge English School provides an enormous breadth of opportunity in which children can develop their own individual talents within a very supportive network.

We combine academic excellence with a holistic approach to education to enable our students to reach their full potential in our campus. This is achieved by delivering a rigorous academic programme, suitably adapted for our international student body.

Our outstanding staff are dedicated to delivering a rich curriculum and programme of activities which challenge our pupils to explore ideas for themselves creatively. Throughout the school children are engaged in learning in the classroom, or through musical, artistic, sporting, enterprising or charitable activities. Our school structure focuses on extending small classes with our pastoral care, leadership and intellectual disciplines beyond the traditional education. MR. GARY WRIGHT BA (HONS), M.A., PGCE, NPQH

​

Mr Wright is a graduate of Warwick and of Oxford Brookes University, as well as King’s College London, from where he holds an MA in Education Management. He was awarded the National Professional Qualification for Headship from the National College of School Leadership. He is also an experienced serving inspector with the Independent Schools Inspectorate (“ISI”).

Mr Wright has over 20 years’ experience in the independent and international education sectors. Previously, he was the Principal of a British school in the UAE and also was the Founding Head Master of a leading international school in Hong Kong. He has also been the Head Master of two independent boarding schools in the UK and also Deputy Head Master of two independent schools in the UK.
